AI is much more than an emerging technology; it is a driving force that is shaping the world around us and therefore needs to be debated, by analyzing the specific EU regulatory framework, its main issues, its interpretation, as well as its impact.
In order to shed light on all these issues, the national conference European regulations on artificial intelligence under debate will be held on 27th and 28th June 2024, at the headquarters of the Rectorate of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The event, which is organized by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the Government of the Canary Islands through ACIISI, the Regional Ministry of Tourism and Employment and the Regional Vice-Ministry of Justice, the ULPGC and the Registrars Association of Spain, will provide an insight into the real scope and the main problematic legal issues of European regulations and their specific application. The Tourism, Territorial Planning and Environment Research Group (known by its Spanish acronym as TOTMA) will actively participate in the event.
